The feeling of a pliable medium like clay under my fingers was a whole new thing for me when I first turned my hands to sculpture three years ago.

I was overjoyed to find I have a natural ability. Thinking in three dimensions when painting portraits probably helped with the transition to working in three dimensions when sculpting portraits.

I am now working in bronze and am doing sculpture by commission.

I really enjoy portraiture in bronze - the idea that this artwork and this persons face will last for so long!
